Well, today was not a bad day to be a cripple. It rained most of the day, and I watched the drops wash the bay window. The traffic outside was not too bad. I imagined there would be at least one accident on the block as it is a busy street, but no such incident.

I saw another great foreign movie. This one was Japanese. I've got to admit that I'm a big fan of anime, so Japanese cinema piqued my interest to begin with, but as I've only seen live action films from Kurosawa, the one I saw today was great. It was a bit like Kill Bill, but more stylized and retro. I think it could fall into the category of action films that appeal to girls. Maybe I'm totally out of line with that assumption/observation. Check it out though: Tokyo Drifter

Today was Valentine's Day, and I did get a dozen roses from my boyfriend (I love international florists) and some yummy chocolates from Papa.

I read some literary theory books Papa checked out for me from the University, but I can't say as I was (or ever have been) impressed with PoMo lit theory. I'm more about the dead guys. Call me weird...

So I finally heard from my grandpa C. today, and I guess more shit is going on with grandpa P. so they've gone off to New Zealand. Hey, if it solves some problems, then go to Zimbabwe. I just hope grandpa P. gets the help he needs.

Yeah, so sitting here, writing, reading, watching DVDs all day isn't so bad. It's just the having to do that everyday part that sucks. You always want what you can't have.
